Your searches are yours.
ClinicalIndex does not sell, share, or monetize your search queries, browsing behavior, or any data about what you search for. We will never associate your searches with your identity, organization, or IP address for the purpose of selling that information.
What we collect
- Anonymized, aggregate search analytics (e.g., “KRAS was searched 200 times this week”) to improve search quality
- Your email address if you sign up for alerts (used only to send you the alerts you requested)
- Standard server logs (IP, user agent) for security and rate limiting, automatically deleted after 30 days
What we do NOT collect
- We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party tracking
- We do not build profiles of individual users or organizations
- We do not sell data to advertisers, pharma companies, or anyone else
- We do not track which trials you click on in a way that identifies you
Advertising
ClinicalIndex is ad-supported. Advertisements are served based on the content of the page (e.g., a cancer-related page may show cancer research ads), not based on your personal browsing history or search queries. We use contextual advertising only.
Data sources
All clinical trial data on ClinicalIndex comes from publicly available sources: ClinicalTrials.gov (US National Library of Medicine), WHO International Clinical Trials Registry Platform, OpenAlex, and PubMed. We do not collect clinical trial data from users.
